Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Clinton Presbyterian Church

is to reflect the love of Jesus Christ in our church, community and the world.

We do this by welcoming ALL

who want to worship and learn about the love of God.

We welcome people of any age, size, race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or financial status. Come, let's journey together as we live out our mission to reflect, grow and serve!

About Us
We are a welcoming church. We are women and men, young and old. We are kids who get to sing and move and play instruments during worship. We are immigrants from Cameroon who have made this place a home and long time families from the Clinton area. We are gay and straight. We are young families and empty-nesters. We are teenagers and elderly. We are flawed and seeking community and kindness and wisdom. We have each other on this journey and room to grow and a place for you. We are hoping you will come and see and join us.

We worship every Sunday. Our services including singing praise music and hymns. There are prayers and the reading of scripture. Our pastor offers a sermon. There is a chance for people to ask for prayers for themselves or others. Sometimes the kids have an active role in worship, but usually they join their families for the beginning of the service, then are excused to go to Sunday school. We share communion the 1st Sunday of the month and have an open communion table, where all are welcome to participate. After worship the church community gathers in the fellowship hall for coffee, juice, cookies, and various snacks. We are very conscious of food allergies and have several members with gluten restrictions, and work to accommodate everyone's needs.
Our church is run by Ruling Elders and a Board of Deacons. Our Pastor, or Teaching Elder, is the moderator of the Elders and member of the Deacons. Both boards are elected by the church membership and represent a cross section of our membership. The Elders meet monthly to decide on spiritual and business matters of the church. The Deacons meet at least quarterly and are in the caring ministry of our church community and the wider local and global community.
Our Pastor, or Teaching Elder, is Rev. Meagan Manas. Pastor Meagan has been journeying with us on this spiritual path since the spring of 2015. We have recently (Feb 2023) entered in a covenant with her. We signed together a Covenant to Rest and Delight.
In February 2020 we commissioned Jennifer Bastien as our Minister of Music. She leads us in song weekly, teaching us new music as we go forward.
